Happy Thanksgiving!

This photo was taken in a big hurry to capture the birds before they disappeared into the grassy banks of the Missouri River. No time to zoom in. No time to think. No time to do anything but snap a quick photo with a point-and-shoot camera. But I wanted to make sure everyone got a turkey for Thanksgiving, so here they are.

Turkeys on the Missouri[1]

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in November in Canada. We have ours in October. But I know it’s a big deal for Americans, so I hope they all have a great family get-together. I wouldn’t want to be a turkey at this time of year.

Run turkey run, before you end in someones tum… we don’t have such a day, I wonder if that is because we still don’t have a national thing to be thankful for…

Nawwww…I’m sure you have other special days. It would be boring if we all had the same holidays. We Canadians have our Thanksgiving in October, but I thought it would be good to acknowledge the American Thanksgiving because we’re such close neighbours. You can share the special days of South Africa with us. No need to kill more turkeys.
