Many times I’ve wished the dogs would do their business on the deck of the boat and we could hose it off, but no, they will suffer until they are brought to the beach. And you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks.

They’re amazing! I feel sorry for them sometimes when I know they have to go but we just can’t get to the beach yet.

Yes, they do, and it’s so hard to get them to break those rules. I could stand there and tell them to do their thing and they would look at me as if I needed my head examined.

They sure do. These two are pretty good at behaving. I think it’s hard on pets when the rules keep changing. Just like little kids, they feel reassured when things stay orderly, and they know the expectations.

I agree with you. My cats are so upset after we go away. Not only do they miss us, but their routines are different with pet sitters.

Dogs and cats don´t like to make a mess in their “nest,” so don´t try to change this behaviour. So they have to wait a little bit longer, just like we do have to wait sometimes. I wouldn´t want a messy dog- or cat. Love your dogs!

You’re right, and I couldn’t change it if I tried. But I hate to see them suffer when it’s not possible to get them to the beach when they need it. They managed okay this time.
