I had never seen a dogwood when we lived in northern BC. Moving to Vancouver Island in my teens, that’s when I first saw them. They’re kind of unique. Have a great weekend, Jill.
I always thought dogwoods were special and it was a struggle to get this one to grow. Too much shade, I think. They do like a bit of sun. But it seems to be doing better now that it’s more established. Have a good weekend, Pit.

Thank you, Ursula. Isn’t it amazing how much the plants and animals talk to each other?

That’s the way Lincoln is (except the time he bit my finger when I tried to feed him). 😉

That is pretty darn cute and probably exactly what those critters are saying.

He’s such a cutie! Too bad little tree can’t be moved. 🤔

I wondered about that, but he’s too big now and seems to be doing better.

What a beautiful tree, even if it’s small.

Thanks, Deepa. The squirrels and trees chatter all the time, but I only listen in once in a while. I’m always surprised at what they say!

Their blossoms are quite different from those of most trees.
