Yesterday was like a usual West Coast winter’s day. Wind and rain, followed by rain and wind.
This morning it looked like Christmas on the hills. Luckily we don’t live up in the hills.
The air is still icy and I have to keep reminding myself that it’s March, still cold, but with a promise of warmer days to come. It reminded me of the stupid “Knock, Knock” joke which I’m sure you’ve all heard.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Marshall.
Marshall who?
Marshall come in like a lion and go out like a lamb.
May it be so!
There’s hope, if these daffodils are telling the truth.

The Daffodils look very happy, Anneli! Spring will spring forth soon. ❤️🇨🇦

Now that was corny! But fun.

But the true poem SHOULD be: “Marshall come in like a lion and go out like a lion.” That’s what usually happens here.

Brrrr….those hills look very chilly! Love your photos and yes, signs of spring are sprouting up everywhere. Soon we will all be outside weeding, raking, planting, etc., etc. I can hardly wait.

I could feel the cold air sweeping down from the hills. I’m looking forward to being out there too, getting a garden ready. Soon, soon, soon!

That does look like winter! Yuck! But there are daffodils, so spring will happen, no matter how much winter wants to hang around.

They are amazingly tough flowers. They were under a foot of snow not so long ago.

I sure hope so. It feels a bit warmer today without the wind blowing the icy air off the hills.

I haven’t heard that knock-knock joke before. Good one! It looks like the lamb is emerging from the lion. Beautiful photos, Anneli.

Yesterday was beautiful here, Anneli, and this morning it’s snowing. Ugh. The snow is pretty, but I’m so ready for those daffodils!

It’s crazy weather, isn’t it? We’re all so tired of winter. Those daffodil stalks give me hope too, and if they can survive the snow, so can we – at least for a little while. But I think we are all ready for a bit of warmth.

I can’t get over it’s so warm here, today, 62f (17c). But, like you said, it is still March. By the end of the week we’re dropping back down to normal cold temps again. Hang in – we’re almost there.
