Queen Ellie’s Visit

Queen Ellie (alias Eleanor Rigby) and Hostess Emma in the family room.

The queen is on her throne today,

She’s not inclined to play,

While hostess Emma, sad to say,

Looks not so very gay.

As Ellie plays at being queen,

Knows Emma won’t  be mean,

But still in Emma’s face is seen

Displacement in this scene.

But well done, Ladies, being friends,

As each the other tends,

For scraps gone by, they make amends

The friendship never ends.

Emma does look very sad! Poor girl, but she’s extremely well-mannered.

Very nice but sad poem. I feel sorry for Emma, she doesn´t look happy. I love her!

No, Emma doesn’t look happy, but I think that some of that look comes from being tired after a hard day of duck hunting in the horrible weather we had the other day, where the fields were flooded and she had to work very hard to retrieve ducks in water that was up to her chest. She’s tuckered right out. AND, she’s no spring chicken at 10 and a half years old.

Cute poem Anneli. Dogs are so transparent with their emotions. We are dog sitting Benji right now and we can read him like a book. Have a great weekend. Allan

Cute poem! Emma may feel sad, but she’s being kind and that’s what matters. 🙂 What an adorable scene though!

Aw, such drama in the canine world!!! She surely makes clear how she feels about the situation!

Definitely a pill for Emma to swallow, but she has been very tolerant about sharing her space.

Anneli, that’s the cutest yet most weary of expressions -one of don’t even suggest it! I’m doing nothing else – for today at least! Annika

    Little hostess Emma

    is in a dilemma,

would like to make a scene,

    but Ellie is the queen.
