Thanks, Grant. It’s such a contrast from the noise and “violence” of the rushing water to where it enters the ocean not too far away and becomes calmed.
So cool that it’s so close to you. Did you hug it? The energy is impressive.
I saw a Redwood in CA that was older than Christianity, 2400 years. I can just imagine what these trees have seen.
You’d better do a poetry marathon too, Lori. You just can’t seem to help yourself. But you’ll have to do rhyming poems, not haikus (which are not supposed to rhyme). That would be fun too though.

I love that photo, Anneli. Your haiku certainly explores the idea of water as a living thing.

It has so many forms and movements. Even ice and snow right now.

The source of life is forming an eternal circle between action and rest.

And so many things in life are cyclic, aren’t they? Thanks for the visit and thoughtful comment, Peter.

Thanks, Jacqui. It’s pretty to look at but I sure wouldn’t want to fall into it. It’s just roaring and so fast flowing.

I can hear the waterfall and smell the water. Beautiful picture and a very nice haiku to go along with the waterfall-

Is this fall near your home, Anneli? It’s beautiful as is your poem. A treat.

It’s about an hour’s drive. I went there with my m-i-l and s-i-l. It’s near MacMillan Park, near Cathedral Grove where we have some very big trees.

It’s lovely. And nothing like big trees too. 🙂

Beauty. And I can hear the water, too, from your haiku (there, I rhymed 😉).

Good homage to Little Qualicum Falls, a good stop on the way back from Tofino. Have a good evening Anneli. Allan

I love seeing waterfalls, even though they’re in short supply here on the flatlands! That’s a lovely photo, and haiku.
