Tnx, KB. They are smart, but I don’t like that they kill baby birds. I’m trying not to think of that today.

I loved your poem, Anneli! Perhaps we should name the crow Robert De Niro after his portrayal of Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver.

Clearly, your crows and our grackles share personality traits as well as color.

Super photo and haiku.
Yes, I understand that crows are the most intelligent of all birds. But I suspect parrots would push them close.

I agree. I much prefer parrots, but unfortunately we don’t have any around here.

Impossible. I hate them so much, but I do have to admit that they’re smart. I hate that they kill baby birds.

I’m glad I’m not alone, here! We have beautiful red tailed hawks that soar silently. Then, the gang of crows go after the hawk. They’re so loud and mean. They remind me of the ‘bad boys’ when I was growing up.

Definitely not a fan of crows or ravens, and I don’t care how smart they are. There’s a reason they call it a murder of crows.
