Summer Sips

Blinds are drawn, they can’t see me,

I approach, no need to flee,

Lovely flowers, red and sweet,

Promise me a juicy treat.

Though the blooms may look the same,

Some are potent, some are lame,

Tasty sips like summer wine,

All this nectar’s mine all mine.

    • They are here year round now. They used to only stay from about March to July, but now they stay all year. I’m sorry you don’t have them around your place, but it’s nice that you saw them in the bird park.

  4. I love watching the hummingbirds in the garden. They are just the busiest little birds. I also enjoy the music in the background. Sounds like a version of Enya playing. Thumbs up on the music, the poem and the video clip!

    • The music just happened to be on in the living room when the hummingbird came along. I’m not sure if it is Agnes Obel or someone similar. I didn’t realize it was recording on the video until I up-or down-loaded it to the computer.
