V is for Vegetable and Varied Thrush

I look forward to springtime when I can try once again to have a good garden.

Vegetables never taste as good as when they are fresh from the garden.

Meanwhile, the varied thrush is singing “Merry Christmas” to you while you wait for spring.

The thrushes are always so pretty. And yes, fresh garden veggies are wonderful; always so yummy.

I am missing my vegetable garden. Everything is overgrown with weed now since I can´t do garden work anymore. To me your vegetable garden looks wonderful!

I have been planting a veggie garden for 45 years with varied success. Seems if you plant too many trees in your yard, the shade hampers veggie growth. Oh well. The varied thrush is so colourful. Happy Sunday Anneli. Allan

While looking at the raised garden beds I was reminded of the great miracle that I recently discovered in our garden, a strawberry plant with ripening strawberries and new flowers. With all this mild and rainy weather here in December, nature is getting confused.

Such a lovely bird, and vegetables from the garden are the best.
