We are in our winter storm season and wheelie bins, flower pots and occasionally fence panels go roaming. But wind can be a friend to nature, when it knocks down woodland trees and creates gaps for smaller plants to grow.

Thanks, Belinda. We were having a picnic as we drove home up the island, and as we sat near the beach the weather changed rather quickly.

I read an entire book about trees–what we can tell about our environment from them–to add one line into my upcoming book! Your trees fit what I learned perfectly (leaning into the wind). I bet you figured out that meaning without a book!
