A Taste of the Good Life

Our old trailer has seen better days, but I can’t think of many that were better than this one.

The lake was peaceful, fresh, and beautiful.

An eagle patiently waited for a trout to be caught. Maybe there would be a little “something” left for him.

But first lick went to Emma. This trout fishing was new to her and she seemed to like it.

The next trout had Ruby interested. It was her turn.

Water lilies at the edges added tranquility to the scene.

Time to go ashore and stretch our legs.

Ruby and Emma found all kinds of wonderful smells there.

But right nearby, where even I could smell the animals that had been there, was the evidence of elk that had visited not long before.

A lot of peaceful moments, but never a dull one.

That looks a lot like the one my MIL and FIL had. Wonderful memories for their family, and yours.

Yes, we have that old one (for the bush) but we just sold our newer one. We like rough camping better than glamping.

Sorry I missed your comment, Ursula. I think I was trying to do the replies on my phone and it doesn’t always work. I think you would just LOVE camping in this place. It is remote and quiet enough so you feel like you are out in the wilderness, but it’s only a half hour from “civilization.”

Being part of Nature, and watching Nature, can give us a “peaceful, easy feeling.” I got that just by looking at your photos!

That looks wonderfully peaceful, Anneli. What a beautiful spot and perfect reflection! My husband would love fishing there. We’ve thought about getting a camper van and just exploring Canada for the summers. That dream is completely on hold now with all the terrible uncertainty. But maybe in the future. Thanks for sharing your lovely spot!
