Flowers don’t often write poetry, but these flowers are two petals short of a load, so anything goes.
Short on petal,
Long on lines,
Test our mettle,
No one whines.
We are trilliums,
That we are,
Trilliums ‘n’ trilliums,
Here to afar.
Flowers don’t often write poetry, but these flowers are two petals short of a load, so anything goes.
Writing, travel, photography, nature, more writing....

That was amazing. Who knew so much could rhyme wit ‘trillium’. And three petals–that is different.

There’s a lot to know about trilliums, but I thought it was more fun to play with words than spout knowledge this time.

I see them in the same place every year. Their three petals make them kind of special.

I’m fond of trilliums, Anneli. We don’t have them by the “bazillions,” so when I find one, it’s always a pleasure.

Did you ever see that video clip of the blonde bimbo who commented on the bazillions someone mentioned, only she thought they were saying Brazilians, and she asks, “How much is a Brazilian anyway?”

LOL. No I haven’t seen that one. I’ll have to do a Google search. 🙂

Trilliums light up the forest with white petal glow which turns to pink as they age. Why don’t we turn to pink as we age? 😊 Marsha

I think they are Ontario’s provincial flower. Is that right?
