Two peacock photos taken at two different friends’ houses.
It’s not my fault I look so fine,
My feathers seem so proud,
But deep inside this heart of mine,
No vanity’s allowed.

Those birds really are over the top! After three years, the famous peacocks of Naramata are back. Great pictures, Anneli.

I wish I could have gotten a video of them when they do that shimmy with their tail feathers all fanned out.

I’d forgotten that my mother used to call me pea-brain from time to time. We both always giggled, because I knew she was kidding.

Of course she was kidding, because “whose child are you?” But it’s fun to have some banter going on. My mother and I used to joke around a lot too.

Agreed! I was so enjoying watching the hummingbirds chase each other around last eve in my backyard. They always make me happy and smile. ❤️

Dear peacock, your self-confidence is truly impressive and almost as beautiful and grand as your wonderful feathers! I am sure you are definitely a real highlight wherever you show yourself. 😉 Stay so proud and charming – the world needs more colorful personalities like you! 💕
I wish you all the best….Rosie from Germany

It spread its tail on their roof? That day turned out pretty special.

Thanks, Allan. They really are fun to watch. We mimicked their call and they got quite animated and answered back.

They are attractive. I guess they were introduced, do they roam freely?

I think some people down the road own them but the birds wander a bit.

They are so much fun to “talk” to. We tried to imitate their sounds and they responded.
