Sandhill Crane

There once was a crane by the shore,

With one he would always adore,

He asked for her wing,

And then gave her a ring,

And loved her for many years more.

My dad loved limericks, but none suitable for sharing. Yours of the Sandhill Crane brought back fond memories. Thanks, Anneli!

I love love stories. This is a nice picture of those cranes and the little poem is also so sweet. We are having a similar bird visiting our creek every year for a while. Then he disappears till the next year. I hope that he can find a girl sometime soon.
