Juicy, tarty, sweet,
The plums weigh down the tree,
I bite into their meat,
Tastes heavenly to me.
Jams and cakes galore,
The winter’s treats await,
It’s what we have in store.
Who cares if we gain weight?
Writing, travel, photography, nature, more writing....

Wow! It looks like you have quite a bounty! Great pies and sauce will be coming. Cute poem, Anneli.

Lots of plums. I wash and pit them and put 24 in each ziploc to freeze for making desserts later. It works out very well. But of course, fresh off the tree is best.

Great! We love plums, dear Anneli. But unfortunately, we don’t have a plum tree. Plum trees seem to be rare here.

What a lovely tree, it must be great to be able to pick them yourself. I like your poem too.

It is hard to beat this time of year for stone fruit. Now, I’m going to have to buy plums on market day. Have a good evening Anneli. Allan

Well, the upside of buying the plums is that you don’t have to water the trees and worry about the drought.

Wow that plum tree is really loaded!! I’ll look forward to your next post showcasing your plum cake!! Our mother made the best cakes with all the fresh fruit from the trees and all the berries we picked. — Sonja.

Wow! So many plums.
Next door has a plum tree. They’ve been there for nearly 2 years, but last year their tree had a rest. This year it has loads.
They have given us permission to pick and eat all those on our side of the tree. Yum!
