Your lines beautifully capture the joy hidden in life’s simplest moments.
Even something as ordinary as peeling hazelnuts becomes special when filled with anticipation and delight.
Your poem reminds us that happiness is not always found in grand events, but in these small, everyday treasures.
Such a lovely and heartfelt expression!
You are absolutely right.
The true sweetness of life often lies in the little moments we tend to overlook.
When we pause to notice them—a smile, a cherished memory, or the beauty of nature—those are the treasures that bring us the deepest joy.
Your thought is a gentle reminder that real happiness is found in simplicity.

If you hadn’t said ‘hazelnut,’ I would have sworn that was a lettuce leaf. How interesting!

I usually find the husks lying around (not eaten), but I have seen the squirrels chewing on a dandelion leaf, so they do eat greens at times.

That’s so true. Often it’s the little things that bring joy, if we just take the time to notice.
