Since the walnuts are ready, I’ve been giving them walnuts – a few every day, pre-cracked with a hammer. When I run out of walnuts, I’ll go back to the sunflower seeds.
I think the squirrels feel the year slipping away. We seldom see our backyard squirrel in the winter, but he has been up in our Schubert knocking snow off the branches two days in a row. There must be some berries left. Have a great Monday Anneli. Allan
My squirrels are hiding away a lot just about now, only coming out of the woodshed once in a while. I think they are visiting the neighbours too, so I’m not getting a lot of photo ops with them just now, but I hope that when the cold weather is done, that will change.

Lovely to see this cute little guy again. Are you still putting out sunflower seeds for them?

Great picture…and our squirrels continue to show a preference for “dining out” as well!

I feel like I’m their waitress, keeping their plate filled in the dining room of the Woodshed Restaurant.

So cute. I so enjoy your squirrel photos. They are enjoying acorns and pinecones in my yard.
