Tired of this winter! Do you feel it too?

No time for resting with nothing to do.

Searching for food to keep warm every day,

When will the sun come out so we can play?

No leaves are out yet,  no blossoms appear,

I liken the weather to winter, I fear,

It looks like these lichens are tired of it, too,

I’m simply not likin’ it, how about you?

I’m definitely done with it too, Anneli. But with March being so unpredictable we might have more poor weather headed our way, unfortunately.

Done with winter to be sure. That Steller jay’s disgusted look says it all. Have a great Friday Anneli. Allan

What a handsome Jay! I imagine he’s like the rest of us, just wishing for spring.

We’re having a wind storm here today. It’s slamming the house like a Mack Truck. It kept waking us up last night. It’s supposed to slow down half way tonight, which still will be breezy but not as bad.

    Have a nice weekend, Anneli.

It is a beautiful poem and a beautiful blue bird. I live in north Texas so things are a little different here. We’ve had comfortable temperatures for quite a while now, often in the 80’s and many trees did not drop their leaves. We did have a winter storm back in January though.

We’ve had a fairly mild winter here in the UK, but very wet.

    Lovely bird and poem.

I actually thought we were done with it, but now we are getting hammered with the ice and white stuff. Let’s hope this is the last of it – I could use one of the Steller’s to check if off this year’s list!
