Yes, and I read that the caterpillars eat toxic plants which then gives them immunity from those who would eat them both as caterpillars and as butterflies. Why eat something that doesn’t taste good?
Thanks, John. Now I’m a bit worried about so many rhodos in our yard and we’ve always had a dog. But when you think of all the plants they shouldn’t eat, they are too many to count.

Thanks, Lynette. The sun was in the wrong place just then, but it worked out okay.

Lucky butterfly that it can digest toxic rhododendrons.

You’d have to hope the predator had a good sense of smell before he tastes you or it would be too late.

That’s right, I forgot about that. I’m sure that you guys are vigilant in watching her. The Sago Palm is extremely toxic to pets down here.

That is a fun poem, and thank you for the warning. I will not let my dog eat them.

It sounds like rhodos are quite toxic to them. I was surprised. Luckily they are not usually interested in them.

Such a good warning. There was a day years ago I didn’t know this.
