A towhee who scratched on the ground,
Was weeping with hardly a sound,
The seed he had gotten
Was totally rotten,

A gaggle of girls all named Iris,
Were worried they might catch a virus,
They huddled together
To wait out the weather,
And said, “May the sunshine inspire us.”

Got perched and then looked all around,

I’m way up in this tree.
But how will I ever get down?”
