It was almost midnight when Reggie Raccoon came to visit. He was blinded by the light so he didn’t do anything but squirm in this eight-second video clip. Then I took pity on him and turned off the camera.
But he had some words for me:
I heard about the sunflower seeds,
And walnuts with a crack,
My raccoon family proceeds
To have a midnight snack.
And may your year be bountiful,
As mine is here always,
With food forever plentiful,
It will improve your days.

I know! I feel that same way. I love to see them but I wish they weren’t living around here. Doesn’t make sense, but it does in a way. Crazy.

I hope to see more posts from you too! Are you still doing posts? I haven’t seen any lately. Did I get kicked off or are you too busy or taking a break?

My goodness, I post at least twice a week. You are on my list of followers and I get all your posts. Once in a while WP has ‘dropped’ one of my followers, so I go to their site and click the follow button. I’m so sorry WP has dropped me from your site. I hope you can re-follow.

It seems to be fixed. So funny to think that all this time I thought you were just so busy you didn’t have time for blogging anymore.

Poor nervous Reggie must have been wondering, what is she going to do with me. Wishing you all the best in 2024 Anneli and more posts about your friends. Allan

I know! That’s why I felt bad about trying to get a video of him and stopped after about 8 seconds. I’ll have more animal posts if they co-operate with me and my camera.

Yes, he does. I’ve seen evidence that he has slept in the woodshed, probably on top of the wood that the squirrels are sleeping under.

It probably makes them a bit uncomfortable, but they can get into very small spaces and they have their cozy nests out of reach of the raccoons.

I do too, Annika. We have to allow ourselves to indulge just a wee bit, or where’s the fun? I’m happy for the new year and new plans and projects. All the best to you.

Reggie doesn’t seem to be on a diet. Hehe. His waistline is a bit fluffy. A cute poem, Anneli, and wish for the new year. May you and the captain and all your critters have a wonderful new year. Hugs.
