    That’s a great capture, Anneli. Where is that? It looks like it could be Alberta (although there wouldn’t be any quail).

      Thanks, Lynette. It’s at Wanapum State Park, about 140 miles east of Seattle (wild guess, as I remember it) on I-90. It’s by a dam on the Columbia. Rattlesnake warning signs everywhere. If you find Vantage on the left side of the highway, you’ll see Wanapum on the right as you head east from Seattle.

    The coyote will rest in the sun all day, waiting for quails, the more of them, the better because they are so small. Nice picture!

    We have coyotes here, in my neighborhood. They usually cross my driveway somewhere after midnight.

    That’s a big coyote. Ours are a bit smaller. There’s been a wolf sighted recently here (I saw it way in the distance), but now I’m wondering if it wasn’t a large coyote.
